A library card allows residents to enjoy all the free services offered by the El Dorado County Library system. Members of the Friends of the EDH Library provide the money needed to make the El Dorado Hills Library wonderful.
Membership dues and donations augment the library’s budget, facilitating the purchase of books, eBooks, audiobooks, periodicals, 3D Print Lab materials and support, and enrichment programs for children, youth, and adults. The Friends of the EDH Library has provided about 40 percent of the funding for the library’s overall collection, and 100 percent of the funding for many of the library’s programs. Since 2006, members of the Friends of the El Dorado Hills Library have raised and donated more than $600,000 to expand the free offerings at our community library. The Friends of the El Dorado Hills Library work in partnership with library staff to ensure that our donations support the vital needs of our library community.

Additional donations
The Friends of El Dorado Hills Library welcomes financial donations throughout the year! You can be confident that all funds will directly benefit the library.
Unrestricted donations allow the Friends and Library staff to use the funds where they are needed most. A donor may also choose to designate that funds go to a specific need. For example, for several years, the Serrano Men’s Book Club has generously donated to support and expand the 3D Print Lab. Or, the Karen and Fred Bookey Foundation donated the welcoming Mark Twain sculpture at the entrance to the Children’s Library area. Some donors have chosen to expand the non-English language children’s book selection.
Whichever way you decide to donate, we welcome your financial support of the El Dorado Hills Library! Contact us at any time with questions about planned giving, matching gifts, corporate sponsorship, and other ways to give.
Thank you for your support!
